Hands-On Workshop Series (1 of 3): Farm, Garden, & Landscape Restoration Without Herbicides

Join a three-part, hands-on workshop series exploring practical, ecological approaches to farming and landscape restoration without herbicides. Through field demonstrations, restoration site tours, and collaborative learning, participants will gain tools and knowledge to support healthy, resilient landscapes. Part 1 showcases occultation methods for replacing invasive pasture grass with native grasses and forbs at the Vesper Meadow Restoration Preserve, with hands-on experience in occultation techniques and native seed collection. Topics include biocultural restoration, Indigenous perspectives on land stewardship, First Foods restoration, pollinator habitat, and climate resilience.
