Ashland Fringe Festival presents
Featuring: Sara Cook

Set in 1950s rural Texas, The Hunt is a play centered on the Hunt family, in which societal pressures force two sisters to conform. Mary-Anne, the perfect girl next door, is raised with one message in mind: marry the right man to support her family. Lorraine, her maverick little sister, struggles with her identity in a world that rejects her. These issues escalate when the Hunt family welcomes a stranger into their home, a choice that will change their lives forever.
The Hunt contains mild violence, mentions of death, and homophobia.
Sara Cook is the writer and director of The Hunt. She was born and raised in Fresno, CA. She is currently attending Southern Oregon University, receiving a BFA in Theatre Performance. This is her first full production as a director, but you may have seen her on stage in Ghosts on a Live Mic (SOU), Pericles (SOU), Scapino (Camelot Theatre Company). She is so thrilled to share her original work with you and she hopes you enjoy the show!
