About

A lunchtime lecture featuring three early participants in the Barter Fair sharing their memories and memorabilia. In 1978, the Barter Fair began as a small harvest trade gathering and grew into a counter-culture festival drawing over 10,000 people by 1995. Speakers include Jessie Spero, Maya Reames, and Michelle Scherer, who participated from the Fair's early years through the 1990s.

This event is part of the monthly Windows in Time lecture series, jointly sponsored by the Southern Oregon Historical Society and Jackson County Library Services. The series features writers and historians exploring the people, values, and events that shaped Southern Oregon's heritage.
