A 4-hour field trip for upper elementary and middle school students (ages 9-14) to explore local rivers and investigate salmon ecosystems firsthand. Participants rotate through four hands-on stations—Salmon Biology, Riparian Ecology, Water Quality, and Macroinvertebrates—guided by expert naturalists, with a lunch break included.
Provided at no cost to local schools through support from local communities and the Jackson Soil and Water Conservation District, this program emphasizes ecological education in the natural environment. Trips run rain or shine; advance coordination with the lead instructor is required.
