William Blake Institute presents
Poeticon II is a one-day creative arts mash-up presented by the William Blake Institute with Phoenix Helio, spanning two Ashland venues on Friday, July 31. Building on the inaugural Poeticon held in April, the event brings together poets, musicians, and visual artists for an evening of readings, performance, and community.
The opening session runs 5–8 pm at Hermeticus Bookshop, 469 B Street: live music kicks off at 5 pm, followed by an open mic at 5:30 pm and readings by featured poets Michael Mollo, Kate Beles, and Allen Ensign. Musical guest Casey Gina performs, with work on view from visual artist Zoriya Blalöck.
The night then moves to Beat Farm Co-op, 38 Lithia Way, where Part 2 picks up at 8 pm with its own open mic, featured poets, music, and visual artists — see the companion "Poeticon II: Creative Arts Mash-Up — Part 2" listing.
