KIN - Art Opening - MicahBlackLight, Opie Snow & Sphynx

KIN brings together the work of three artists from one family, each following a distinctly different creative path.

Through large-scale portraiture and abstraction, imagined histories and mermaid lore, fashion-inspired drawings and portraits, the exhibition moves between the observed and the invented, the personal and the mythic.

While the work differs in medium and perspective, unexpected echoes appear in color, a fascination with the figure, storytelling and transformation. Some similarities may be inherited. Others may simply come from years of seeing, making and imagining alongside one another.
