Epic Ashland's Summer Sounds free concert series welcomes Diggin Dirt to the Lithia Park bandshell. A seven-piece funk and soul powerhouse from behind California's redwood curtain in Humboldt County, Diggin Dirt layers psychedelic rock, Motown soul, Afrobeat, and reggae over a sturdy foundation of late-'60s funk — fueled by a blazing horn section, pulsating rhythms, searing guitars, and a natural-born soul shouter out front. Opening the evening are Southern Oregon's The Rosa Lees, an all-female bluegrass and roots band known for inventive instrumentation, dynamic arrangements, and tight four-part harmonies. Music starts at 6PM. Enjoy picnic-style seating, food trucks, a beer garden, a family-friendly atmosphere, activities for kids, and free bike valet. Presented by Epic Ashland in partnership with Storytown.
