Jackson County Library presents

A screening of the 17-minute short film "Bringing the Salmon Home," which tells the story of the world's largest dam removal and river restoration project on the Klamath River. Screened as one of eight finalists out of 118 submissions at the Society for Ecological Restoration Film Festival in Denver, the film was directed and produced by Swiftwater Films in partnership with RES and highlights the epic project and essential partnership with tribal communities in restoring the river and bringing salmon back to their ancestral waters.
The film weaves together years of footage to share a powerful story of collaboration, resilience, and hope. Following the screening, there will be a conversation with leaders from RES, the firm leading the restoration of the project area following removal of four dams on the Klamath River.
