Your instructor: Robin J. Engel Robin J. Engel, a retired teacher, has spent a lifetime going to comedy clubs and calling it research. She's read the books, taken the courses, and spent several years performing stand-up on the AZ circuit — so she knows firsthand what it's like to write a joke you think is brilliant and watch it die in front of a crowd; she also knows the unsurpassed feeling that comes with a crowd lit up with laughter.
